KEC International is an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company that provides services in power transmission and distribution, as well as civil works. The company recently won a number of contracts for high-voltage transmission lines and substations, as well as for civil engineering services in the power sector. These contracts represent KEC's ongoing effort to create a sustainable pipeline of projects in its core markets.
The T&D contract shows strong demand for high-voltage systems, as they are critical to the stability of the electric grid and to removing energy from the grid. The civil work associated with the thermal plant also demonstrates the company's capabilities to execute foundational projects for its power sector clients. The combination of all three orders will continue to support KEC's project schedule in India.
Orders awarded for these contracts have been included in the company's order intake for this financial year. Orders given out in total enable a company to plan resource allocation, project completion timeframes, and revenues for each contract's duration.
There is a significant amount of work in the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) market in India related to transmission and power plants. The firms offering EPCs refer to these types of contracts that mandate work by their entities as a very competitive market, and therefore, the announcements are an integral component of the reported continuing development of each firm's market position. Most firms have a policy to inform their investors and regulators of contract awards/issues through regulated filings or official mailings.
KEC International share price stands at ₹690.95 per share on the BSE as of 12 December 2025 at 15:30 PM IST, up by 0.84%.
