According to a press release uploaded on NSE, the stock exchanges received notification from RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. about their acquisition of a fresh contract from Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Corporation Limited.
The project involves constructing network infrastructure. RailTel will provide SD-WAN devices to the project. The company will test and install the devices after completing the configuration process. The work will be carried out across all APCPDCL offices. The company will deliver both license keys and their associated hardware products. The contract provides a five-year period, which includes both warranty protection and technical assistance. RailTel will conduct maintenance work and provide technical support throughout this entire timeframe

The order value is estimated at ₹27,04,21,875 crore according to the Letter of Acceptance issued to the company. The work order was received on 26 January 2026 at 9:00 AM. The project has a long execution period. The project is scheduled to finish on 24 January 2031. The work progression permits multiple years of execution because it will occur in multiple project stages.
RailTel has confirmed that no related party transactions occur through this order. The promoter or promoter group does not have any interest in the entity that awarded the contract. The order has been obtained through standard business procedures, which comply with both regulatory and governance standards
SD-WAN technology connects different office locations using a unified network system. The system gives users improved control over both data transmission and network usage. Distribution companies use this system for daily operational activities that require location-based operational monitoring and intersite coordination activities. Reliable network systems play a critical role in enabling effective communication processes which support operational system management tasks.
