In today’s volatile trading session, Indian equity benchmarks closed nearly flat. The Nifty ended just above the 25,100 mark, while the Sensex slipped 53.49 points (−0.06%) to close at 82,391.72. In contrast, the Nifty edged up by 1.05 points to settle at 25,104.25.

The Realty index declined 1% as investors booked profits for the second consecutive session.
Information Technology led the gainers, rising 1.7%.
Media and Power indices also advanced, each up around 1%.

The BSE Midcap index finished flat.
The BSE Smallcap index gained 0.3%.
Grasim emerged as a top performer, climbing 3.66% after a positive outlook from global brokerage Morgan Stanley, which also supported UltraTech Cement Limited.
TRENT was the session’s biggest laggard, falling 1.65%.
