    Key takeaways

    1. Sale of up to 50 million shares, about 0.8% of total equity.

    2. Floor price fixed at ₹1,862, nearly 3% below last close.

    3. Estimated deal size of ₹9,310 crore.

    4. Managed by Jefferies India and JPMorgan India as placement agents.

    5. Block deal format allows a single large transaction with minimal price impact.

    Where the share price stands

Right now, Bharti Airtel share price is around ₹1,922.60 on the BSE as of 7 Aug 2025 at 15:30 IST. It has been one of the steadier names in the telecom sector over the past year. Tariff adjustments, growth in premium subscribers, and a steady rise in ARPU have kept it in focus. But block deals of this size can sometimes create short-term market ripples.

Why the sale might be happening

Promoter groups use block deals for different reasons — portfolio rebalancing, funding new projects, or simply monetising part of their stake. This sale will reduce the promoter group’s holding slightly from the current 55.2%, but it will still remain a tightly held company.
