Hero MotoCorp Q1FY27 Units Rise 23% to 16.8 Lakh Units

    Hero MotoCorp share price ended at ₹4,834.90 on July 1, 2026, up 0.85% for the day. The stock touched an intraday high of ₹4,893.90 and a low of ₹4,774.00. Trading volume stood at 8.20 lakh shares compared with the 30-day average volume of 6.86 lakh shares.

    The world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters released its dispatch and retail data for June 2026 and Q1FY27 on July 1, 2026, showing sustained volume growth across domestic and international markets.

    Q1FY27 Performance of Hero MotoCorp

    Hero MotoCorp’s dispatch volume for Q1 FY27 (April–June 2026) stood at 16.8 lakh units, marking a 23% increase on a YoY basis. The retail segment saw the company register 15.3 lakh units under the VAHAN scheme during Q1FY27, up 9% YoY. The growth was fueled by demand in all core, premium, and scooter categories, ICE as well as EVs

    YTD dispatches for FY27 stand at 16,77,313 units, compared with 13,67,070 units in the corresponding period of FY26.

    June 2026 Monthly Numbers

    For the month of June 2026, Hero MotoCorp reported total dispatches of 5,41,159 units. Domestic dispatches came in at 5,02,890 units, while exports accounted for 38,269 units. Breaking down the product mix, motorcycle dispatches stood at 4,78,701 units and scooter dispatches reached 62,458 units during the month.

    Domestic retail momentum remained healthy in June, with VAHAN registrations of 4.66 lakh units, reflecting approximately 18% growth over the corresponding period last year. The data excludes Telangana and is as of July 1, 2026.

    VIDA's Strong Run

    VIDA, Hero MotoCorp's electric mobility business unit, delivered another strong month in June 2026, recording 21,812 VAHAN registrations. This represents 185% growth YoY and an 8% increase on a MoM basis. VIDA was also recognised as the Global Most Trusted Brand at the Global Brand and Leadership Conclave held at the House of Lords, British Parliament, London.

    Domestic Segment Highlights

    The domestic motorcycle and scooter business maintained positive momentum into June 2026. The scooter portfolio achieved strong double-digit growth, while motorcycle demand remained resilient. The recently launched Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 continued to generate encouraging customer response. The company also launched its first flex-fuel motorcycles during the month, in the presence of the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and the Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas.

    Global Business

    Hero MotoCorp's international operations maintained their upward trajectory in June 2026, with global dispatches of 38,269 units, registering 33% growth YoY compared with 28,827 units in June 2025. YTD exports for FY27 stand at 1,05,206 units, against 64,413 units in the same period of FY26. The company attributed continued international growth to an expanding premium portfolio, new product introductions, and focused market development across key geographies.

    On the motorsport front, Hero MotoCorp celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Hero MotoSports Team Rally by renewing its partnership with Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), organisers of the Dakar Rally. The company also launched the India's Next Dakar Hero programme and signed rising motocross talent Shlok Ghorpade to its talent development programme.
