As quoted in the press release of L&T (NSE Exchange Filings), the company has declared that its Minerals & Metals (M&M) division has received several large orders in India. These new orders reflect the continued involvement of L&T in high-value engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects in the metals and minerals space. This announcement was made by way of a company announcement from October 24, 2025.
The M&M business secured a large order from Hindalco Industries for the scope of works for a 180 KTPA aluminium smelter with a Gas Treatment Centre (GTC) in Odisha. The scope of work includes the civil and structural, supply and erect works for the smelter; engineering, procurement and construction for the GTC.

In addition to Hindalco, Total solutions is delighted to announce that the M&M division of L&T has also received an engineering and construction contract from Tata Steel for the supply and installation of a 1 MTPA Coke Oven Battery 6 A/B at its Jamshedpur facility. The project involves engineering, manufacturing, supplying, construction, and complete installation of the plant below, on schedule.
The Product Business Unit of M&M has also received numerous small but strategically important orders from customers in several parts of India for the supply of mining and material handling equipment. These orders included major capital equipment such as stacker reclaimers, wagon tipplers, crushers, and surface miners.

L&T's M&M business has had an established partnership with Hindalco for more than 30 years and has been associated with many of its expansion projects in alumina, aluminium and copper plants. The M&M division continues to offer complete EPC solutions in mining, mineral processing, industrial products, and material handling. Its product business also serves steel, cement, fertiliser, and ports, offering end-to-end project execution capabilities.
In the company’s internal classification, the most recent contracts fall into the "Large" category, which is defined with values between a range of ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore. The classification gives an indication of the substantial size and importance of the contract in the context of L&T's EPC portfolio.
Larsen & Toubro share price stands at ₹3,855.20 per share on the BSE as of October 24, 2025, at 3:30 PM IST, up by 1.04%.
