Tata Communications Limited has announced the launch of its Voice AI platform, a new technology aimed at restructuring how banks and financial institutions manage customer interactions. The company shared details of this development through a press release filed with the stock exchanges.
The idea behind this launch seems simple but powerful: to make conversations between customers and service systems sound smoother and more natural. Built using what Tata Communications refers to as Agentic AI, the platform is designed to hold speech-to-speech conversations that respond almost instantly, in less than half a second.
The system supports over 40 Indian and international languages, such as Hindi, Tamil, Spanish, and Mandarin. It incorporates accent, tone, and context, allowing businesses to handle diverse customer needs more consistently.
What makes this platform interesting is its integration capability. It connects directly with enterprise APIs and fintech platforms, meaning it can take a customer’s request on record or voice note, process it, and complete related tasks automatically. The solution runs on Tata Communications’ AI Cloud, which provides security, scale, and additional features like live transcription, sentiment tracking, and adaptive dialogue.

A.S. Lakshminarayanan, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Communications, said that the Voice AI platform has been created with speed, scale, and reliability in mind. He noted that it is not an experimental model but a ready-to-deploy system capable of handling real business demands.
The company mentioned that the platform forms a key part of the Tata Communications Customer Experience Platform. The larger goal is to help enterprises bring intelligence into every step of their customer journey, combining technology with human-like understanding.
