Share Market Trading Holiday List 2026

Listen to our Podcast: Grow your wealth and keep it secure.

0:00 / 0:00

Stock markets in India are open on weekdays, but they stay closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and a few holidays announced by exchanges like the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange. These dates are shared every year so traders and investors know when markets won’t be active.

In 2026, the market will be closed on certain national and religious occasions. On those days, trading doesn’t happen across equity, derivatives, or related segments.

Keeping track of these holidays can actually make things smoother. It helps in planning trades, managing positions, and avoiding situations where you expect the market to be open but it isn’t.
