This resulted in a surplus of nearly 0.405 million tonnes in the aluminium market.
For the period January to March 2025 (Q1 of CY 2025), global consumption is projected at 18.109 million tonnes.
Expected global production in this quarter is around 17.879 million tonnes, indicating a possible deficit of 0.230 million tonnes.
India’s contribution to global primary aluminium production during Apr-Jan 2025 was estimated at around 5.8%.
Aluminium casting involves the process of pouring molten aluminium into moulds to produce components with detailed shapes.
These components are widely used in sectors such as automotive, electrical equipment, aerospace, and renewable energy.
In 2022, die casting accounted for the highest share of revenue in the aluminium casting market.
