Titan Company Limited is projected to have a subdued first quarter due to fewer wedding days, higher gold prices, and growing competition from regional players. Analysts predict a 6% year-on-year increase in Titan's Q1 net sales for April - June 2024, with net profit expected to dip slightly by 1%.
In the previous March quarter, Titan saw a 7% year-on-year rise in standalone net profit, reaching ₹786 crore, and a 17% YoY growth in net sales to ₹10,047 crore for the January-March 2024 period.
Britannia Industries is anticipated to experience higher volume growth compared to its competitors, thanks to recent price reductions. The company is projected to achieve a 4% increase in revenue, amounting to ₹4,178 crore, with net profit expected to rise to ₹517 crore from ₹458 crore in the same quarter last year.
Despite this, experts warn that the intense summer may negatively affect consumption volumes. Analysts will be keeping a close eye on demand patterns in metropolitan areas, rural regions, and tier-3 towns, as well as monitoring raw material prices and their impact on EBITDA margins.
