Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) emerges as the Lowest Bidder for a ₹187 crore metro stations project in Nagpur. Their strong quarter includes revenue growth of 17.4% to ₹6,714 crore and a 33% increase in net profit to ₹478.6 crore.
Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) has been declared as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for a significant project involving the construction of six elevated metro stations in Nagpur. The project, valued at ₹187 crore, falls under the jurisdiction of the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Nagpur Metro).

The scope of the project encompasses the construction of metro stations including Cantonment, Kamptee Police Station, Kamptee Municipal Council, Dragon Palace, Golf Club, and Kanhan River Metro Station.
These stations will be erected between Ch. – 7576.78mm to Ch - 13457.76m in Reach 2B of NMRP Phase 2. The execution timeline for this project is set at 30 months.

The company reported a revenue growth of 17.4% to ₹6,714 crore, with a margin expansion of 20 basis points to 6.8% compared to the previous year. Moreover, RVNL witnessed a substantial increase of 33% in net profit, which soared to ₹478.6 crore.
RVNL’s total order book stands at ₹85,000 crore by the end of the financial year 2024, with ₹40,000 crore attributed to the bid portion and ₹45,000 crore for the nomination portion.

In addition to the Nagpur Metro project, RVNL received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the South Eastern Railway for another significant undertaking. The company is tasked with meeting a 3,000 MT loading target, which involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and upgrade of an electric traction system from 1x25 KV to 2x25 KV traction in the Kharagpur division.
