BHEL Q4FY26 Net Profit Jumps 156%; Share Price Rallies 12%

BHEL Q4FY26 consolidated net profit jumped 156% YoY, supported by higher revenue and strong growth in the Power segment. Following the results and final dividend announcement, BHEL share price rallied over 12% on Monday, May 04, hitting a fresh 52-week high and recording its sharpest single-day gain in over five years.

Bharat Heavy Electricals share price hit an upper circuit of 10% on Monday, May 04, 2026, after the company reported a sharper rise in consolidated profitability for FY26, supported by higher revenue from operations, controlled growth in expenses and improved segment performance.

BHEL Dividend Recommendation

The company’s audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026, were approved by the Board on May 4, 2026. The Board also recommended a final dividend of ₹1.40 per share of face value ₹2 each for FY26.

BHEL FY26 Performance

On a consolidated basis, BHEL’s FY26 revenue from operations stood at ₹33,782.18 crore in FY26 compared with ₹28,339.48 crore in FY25, marking a YoY growth of 19.21%. Other income also moved higher to ₹807.65 crore from ₹465.31 crore, a rise of 73.57%. As a result, total income increased 20.08% YoY to ₹34,589.83 crore from ₹28,804.79 crore.

Consolidated expenses stood at ₹32,512.27 crore in FY26 against ₹28,118.20 crore in FY25, up 15.63% YoY. Cost of materials and services increased 19.06% to ₹24,274.28 crore, while employee benefit expenses rose 9.19% to ₹6,467.62 crore. Other expenses declined 14.60% to ₹1,989.28 crore from ₹2,329.34 crore.

BHEL FY26 Profitability Improves Sharply

BHEL’s consolidated profit before tax, after the share of joint ventures, stood at ₹2,138.61 crore in FY26 compared with ₹745.60 crore in FY25, registering a YoY rise of 186.83%.

Consolidated net profit for the year rose to ₹1,600.26 crore from ₹533.90 crore, translating into a YoY increase of 199.73%. Total comprehensive income after tax stood at ₹1,599.65 crore compared with ₹370.56 crore in FY25, up 331.68%. Basic and diluted earnings per share increased to ₹4.60 from ₹1.53, a rise of 200.65% YoY.

BHEL Q4FY26 Results: Net Profit Jumped 156%

For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, BHEL’s consolidated revenue from operations stood at ₹12,310.37 crore compared with ₹8,993.37 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, a YoY growth of 36.88%. Consolidated net profit for the quarter came in at ₹1,290.47 crore against ₹504.45 crore in Q4 FY25, up 155.82% YoY. Profit before tax stood at ₹1,727.59 crore compared with ₹704.42 crore, a rise of 145.25% YoY.

Power Segment Leads Revenue Growth

The Power segment remained the largest contributor to BHEL’s consolidated revenue. Revenue from the Power segment stood at ₹25,406.71 crore in FY26 compared with ₹20,937.25 crore in FY25, showing YoY growth of 21.35%. The Industry segment reported revenue of ₹8,375.47 crore against ₹7,402.23 crore in FY25, up 13.15% YoY.

In terms of segment results before tax and finance cost, the Power segment reported ₹2,451.24 crore in FY26 compared with ₹1,216.02 crore in FY25, an increase of 101.58% YoY. The Industry segment result stood at ₹1,684.07 crore against ₹1,262.45 crore, up 33.40% YoY. Total segment results rose 66.85% to ₹4,135.31 crore from ₹2,478.47 crore.

Quarterly Segment Trend

During Q4 FY26, Power segment revenue stood at ₹9,509.85 crore compared with ₹6,192.41 crore in Q4 FY25, up 53.57% YoY. Industry segment revenue was almost flat at ₹2,800.52 crore compared with ₹2,800.96 crore in the same quarter last year. On the profitability side, the Power segment result rose to ₹1,869.90 crore from ₹308.11 crore, while the Industry segment result declined to ₹673.03 crore from ₹877.32 crore.

Balance Sheet Snapshot

BHEL’s consolidated total assets stood at ₹76,185.61 crore as of March 31, 2026, compared with ₹68,083.18 crore as of March 31, 2025, showing a YoY increase of 11.90%. Power segment assets stood at ₹49,208.93 crore, up 8.26% YoY, while Industry segment assets rose 14.09% to ₹10,542.49 crore. Other equity stood at ₹25,450.19 crore compared with ₹24,025.75 crore in the previous year.

BHEL Share Price Performance: Hits Fresh 52-Week High

BHEL share price rallied sharply on Monday, May 04, 2026, after the company announced its Q4FY26 results. As of 12:05 PM, the stock was trading 12.71% higher on the NSE, marking its sharpest single-day rally in over five years. With this move, BHEL also hit a fresh 52-week high.
