As quoted in the press release of Balaji Amines (NSE Exchange Filings), Balaji Amines Ltd has informed stock exchanges that it has received an eligibility certificate from the Directorate of Industries, Government of Maharashtra, for the expansion of its manufacturing unit in the state. The certificate, dated 2 January 2026 and received on 7 January 2026, confirms that the expansion qualifies as a Mega Project under the Package Scheme of Incentives 2013.
The approval places the project under the Investment Based, 100 percent Gross Basis category of the scheme. This recognition allows the company to claim a range of fiscal incentives linked to taxes and statutory duties over a defined period. The announcement adds a regulatory update to the company’s ongoing expansion activity in Maharashtra.

According to the certificate of eligibility, Balaji Amines will receive ₹258 crores, which is the amount of the Industrial Promotion Subsidy. The subsidy is a repayment of 50% of the State Goods & Services Tax paid for the sale of eligible manufactured products sold in Maharashtra.
The company will also receive an exemption from duty on electrical energy during the eligible project period. In addition, the company's expansion project is also eligible for 100% exemption from stamp taxes. The benefits related to the electrical duty and stamp taxes will last for seven years (1 January 2024 to 31 December 2030, provided that the company abides by and meets the requirements outlined in the programme).

The Maharashtra government has implemented an existing framework of an industrial incentive for large capital inflow. Under the PSI-2013, Mega Projects are defined according to investment amount, employment opportunities, and support for regional growth effect of one (1) project.
Balaji Amines is formally eligible to receive rebates on taxes as part of their growth plan. The approval process also assists in determining how to structure costs and outflows due to increased production capacity. As a regulatory process, the approval is limited to the expansion of Balaji Amines' manufacturing operation located in Maharashtra.
Balaji Amines share price stands at ₹1,072.40 per share on the BSE as of 7 January 2026 at 15:30 PM IST, up by 0.6%.
