Bharat Forge Ltd. has entered into a strategic partnership with French aerospace company Turgis Gaillard to co-offer the AAROK UAV platform to the Indian Ministry of Defence. The companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to introduce the medium-altitude, long-endurance (MALE) drone for India’s defence needs, with a focus on local production and lifecycle support.

AAROK is developed by Turgis Gaillard and engineered for multi-domain operations. It can stay airborne for over 24 hours, making it suitable for extended surveillance, intelligence gathering, and long-range tactical operations. Its design includes advanced electromagnetic sensors and radar systems for real-time battlefield awareness, operating at high altitudes while maintaining a stand-off distance from threats.
The drone can carry more than 1.5 tonnes of payload, enabling deployment of precision-guided munitions. This feature makes it capable of engaging enemy air defence systems and deep-strike targets with high accuracy.
