Firstsource Solutions Limited, a part of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, is engaged in providing customer management services including contact center operations, transaction processing, debt collection, and revenue cycle management in the healthcare industry. The company was originally incorporated as ICICI Infotech Upstream Limited on 6 December 2001 and promoted by ICICI Bank Limited. Its name was changed to ICICI OneSource Limited on 2 April 2002 and later to Firstsource Solutions Limited on 21 November 2006. In 2002, the company acquired Customer Asset.com and its subsidiaries, and also acquired Tawny Dove Limited. In 2003, it acquired FirstRing India Private Limited to build customer acquisition and credit card service capabilities.
In 2004, Firstsource acquired a majority stake in Pipal Research to enter the research and analytics space and acquired ASG to expand into collections and receivables management. In 2005, the company acquired RevIT to strengthen its presence in the healthcare sector and later acquired Business Process Management Inc. in 2006. During 2006, it set up Firstsource Solutions S.A. through its UK subsidiary and opened a branch office in the Philippines. It also entered into a strategic partnership with Metavante in North America. In 2007, it acquired MedAssist Holding Inc., a healthcare revenue cycle management services provider in the United States.
In 2008, the company signed a five-year partnership deal with Barclays U.S. Credit Card Business. In 2010, it expanded operations to the Philippines for a North American telecom carrier and entered the Australian market through a contract with a cable and satellite television company.
