In the fourth quarter of FY24, Voltamp Transformers has seen considerable growth in its sales. With a total income of ₹527.4 Crores and an operating profit of ₹96.99 Crores up 6% YoY the company’s Q4FY24 results have shown the progress the company has made in both a 3-month phase and within a year.
Initially incorporated as a Private Limited Company, Voltamp Transformers was established in 1967 in Vadodara, Gujarat. On February 22, 2006, the company changed its status to a Public Limited Company from a Private Limited Company. The shareholders passed a special resolution under sections 31 and 44 of the Companies Act, 1956, which made this possible. Voltamp Transformers, as the name already indicates, manufactures oil-filled power and distribution transformers. The company has two manufacturing plants, both located in Vadodara. One is in Makarpura and the other is in Savli. Voltamp is dedicated to offering the best service to their clients This has helped the company earn a dedicated customer base. The company’s customer base also includes leaders in various Government and Semi-Government projects, Refineries, Fertilizer Plants, the Power sector etc.. Apart from this, the company also has a loyal clientele in other Industries and State Electricity Boards in India and abroad.

This year, the company’s focus had been to improve revenue and volume, which is visible in its fourth quarter results. This year saw the highest-ever sales revenue for the company at ₹504.16 Crore compared to ₹439.86 Crore YoY. Voltamp Transformers also saw a considerable profit growth to ₹96.99 Crore, up 6% from ₹91.24 Crore YoY. This was achieved despite the fluctuating raw material prices. The company’s EBIDTA and PAT with the highest return on capital employed at 75.87% in the business operations segment (excluding investments). Seeing the Q4FY24 results, the Board of Directors proposed payment of a dividend of ₹90 per equity share on a face value of ₹10 per share. This is the highest in the company's history entailing a total payout of ₹91.05 crores, representing 38.55% payout of after-tax profit, adjusted for marked-to-market gain.
