State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest lender, has announced it will consider long-term fundraising of up to USD 3 billion in the financial year 2025-26. This move is aimed at enhancing the bank’s global capital base to support growth and maintain liquidity amid increasing global interest in Indian financial instruments. A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Central Board is scheduled for May 20, 2025, to evaluate the status and finalise the method and structure of the proposed fundraising.
