Morgan Stanley, through its arm Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore, has purchased over 1.4 crore shares of PNB Housing Finance. This acquisition, representing a 5.4% stake in the company, was made at an average price of ₹939.3 per share, amounting to a total investment of ₹1,336 crore. The transaction was part of a larger open market deal worth ₹1,664 crore that also involved Societe Generale and Ghisallo Master Fund.

In contrast to Morgan Stanley’s acquisition, Carlyle Group sold 2.45 crore shares of PNB Housing Finance through Quality Investment Holdings PCC. The sale reduced Carlyle’s stake from 19.87% to 10.44%. This transaction, executed at an average price of ₹939.42 per share, was valued at ₹2,301.58 crore.
