JSW’s Indian operations remained the primary growth engine, contributing ₹36,749 Cr in revenue and ₹6,210 Cr in EBITDA. JSW Steel Coated Products posted revenue of ₹8,637 Cr with ₹559 Cr in EBITDA, marking a 52% YoY growth due to improved downstream product spreads. Bhushan Power & Steel delivered ₹4,998 Cr in revenue, ₹760 Cr in EBITDA, and a net profit of ₹331 Cr, aided by higher volumes and lower coking coal costs. JSW Vijayanagar Metallics Ltd (JVML) reported ₹4,935 Cr in revenue and ₹627 Cr in EBITDA, with a PAT of ₹182 Cr. In international operations, the Ohio unit reported EBITDA of US$1.35 million, while the Plate & Pipe Mill in Texas delivered US$19.04 million in EBITDA, driven by higher volumes and realisations. Italy operations added ₹1,133 Cr in revenue and ₹54 Cr in EBITDA for the quarter.
JSW Steel’s management stated that the company delivered a stable performance in Q1 FY26 despite global volatility in steel prices. They highlighted improved steel production, efficient capacity utilisation, and controlled spending as key drivers of profitability.
The leadership reiterated its focus on cost optimisation, operational excellence, and disciplined capital deployment. Continued domestic demand, particularly from the infrastructure and construction sectors, was noted as a source of strength.
