Asian markets showed mixed performance, while Gift Nifty suggested a flat-to-negative start for Indian markets.

Domestic indices extended gains for a sixth consecutive session, with the Nifty consolidating above 25,050 as sectoral trends remained mixed.
Gift Nifty indicates a flat to negative start for the session. The Nifty spot is likely to consolidate in the 24,850–25,250 range.

Investors remained cautious ahead of the Jackson Hole symposium, while rising domestic bond yields, partly due to GST rationalization concerns, added to market nervousness. India VIX fell over 3% to 11.37, reflecting subdued volatility.

The Nifty formed a small bearish candle with a higher high and higher low, signaling consolidation amid stock-specific moves on weekly expiry day. The index continues to hold above the 20- and 50-day EMAs, indicating positive momentum remains intact.
Resistance Levels:
25,250 (previous swing high & 61.8% Fibonacci retracement of last correction)
Breakout above may target 25,500–25,600
Support Levels:
24,600–24,500 (gap-up area & 100-day EMA)
Likely to act as a strong demand zone
Intraday Levels:
Nifty: Resistance – 25,160 & 25,250 | Support – 24,980 & 24,850
Bank Nifty: Resistance – 55,990 & 56,250 | Support – 55,510 & 55,250
