Power Outage Impact and Resolution

The sudden power outage at an off-airport substation caused chaos for passengers and halted flight operations for several hours. British Airways stated that recovering from such a significant incident involved complex logistical challenges. Despite this, 85% of British Airways' Saturday schedule was operational, although delays continued to affect some services.

London Heathrow Airport confirmed on social media that the facility is fully operational again, and teams across the airport are working diligently to support passengers impacted by the outage. Passengers are advised to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport to avoid any inconvenience.

With operations now restored, passengers can resume their travel plans with Air India, Virgin Atlantic, and British Airways to and from London Heathrow. Although some delays may persist, the majority of flights are back on schedule, offering relief to affected travellers. Amidst the resumption of normal operations, passengers should stay updated on flight schedules to minimise further inconvenience.
