As quoted in the press release of Bharat Electronics (NSE Exchange Filings), the company has established another milestone as part of its ongoing order momentum. The Navratna defence PSU proclaimed on September 29, 2025, that it has received new contracts worth Rs. 1,092 crore, following its announcement of a new order under warranty on September 16. These new orders are significant for BEL as they strengthen its order book and solidify its role as an important supplier to the defence establishment.
The new contract orders are for electronic warfare system upgrades, modernising a defence network, tank sub-systems, transmit-receive modules, communication products, electronic voting machines (EVMs) and spares and services.

The new orders are part of BEL's continued order momentum this financial year. Since the start of FY26, BEL has announced new order inflows of Rs. 7,348 crore, which is about 27% of BEL's annual order inflow guidance of Rs. 27,000 crore. This anticipated value does not include the expected Rs. 30,000 crore order for quick-reaction surface-to-air missiles.
BEL reported a stable financial performance in Q1 FY26. Revenue increased by 5.2% year-on-year to Rs. 4,417 crore, which was lower than the analysts' expectations of Rs. 4,812 crore. EBITDA surged by 32.2% year-on-year to Rs. 1,240.4 crore, which surpassed the expectation of Rs. 1,178 crore.
The EBITDA margin improved significantly from 22.3% in the same quarter last year to 28.1%, which was better than the estimated 24.5%. Management stated that strong execution and a favourable product mix contributed to margin expansion.
