Compared to broader sector expectations, Infosys’ performance remained largely stable. The company’s constant currency growth of 3.8% YoY aligns with overall industry trends for Tier-1 IT services, though some peer firms posted higher sequential revenue growth.
The operating margin, although slightly compressed, remained within the guided range of 20–22%, a key positive amid sectoral margin pressures.
Free cash flow conversion at over 100% of net profit remains a standout metric, even as the absolute figure declined YoY. The TCV of large deals at $3.8 billion, with 55% new deals, places Infosys among the more aggressive deal winners in the sector for Q1.
Salil Parekh, CEO and MD of Infosys, remarked on the company's continued resilience:
“Our performance in Q1 demonstrates the strength of our enterprise AI capabilities, the success in client consolidation decisions, and the dedication of our over 300,000 employees. Our large deal wins of $3.8 billion reflect our distinct competitive positioning and deep client relationships.”
Jayesh Sanghrajka, CFO of Infosys, highlighted the company’s financial discipline:
“Q1 performance is a clear reflection of our unwavering focus on multiple fronts, resulting in strong growth at 2.6% QoQ, resilient margins at 20.8% and EPS increase of 8.6% YoY. Cash flow conversion was well above 100% for the fifth consecutive quarter. The impact of currency volatility was effectively managed through our proactive hedging strategy.”
