Net customer additions hit a record 939,000 during the quarter.
The home-pass network was expanded by 1.6 million fibre passes.

Airtel Business
Revenues declined by 7.7% YoY due to a strategic move to exit low-margin operations. However, core connectivity and digital services maintained a steady trajectory.
Notably, the segment launched "Business Name Display" (BND), enabling enterprises to show brand names on recipients’ mobile screens for increased trust and transparency.
Digital TV
Digital TV revenue declined 1.8% YoY, totalling ₹763 crore. The customer base stands at 15.7 million. IPTV services, launched last quarter, are gaining traction, with 0.65 million new additions.
Passive Infrastructure Services
The business posted a 4.3% QoQ revenue increase, aided by the addition of ~2,500 sites during the quarter.
Compared to broader sector trends, Bharti Airtel’s Q1 FY26 results reflect a solid outperformance in both revenue and profitability. The company's India mobile ARPU of ₹250 remains industry-leading, indicating successful portfolio premiumisation. The Homes business also exceeded market expectations with its record additions and strong expansion of fibre connectivity.
On a broader scale, the company’s revenue growth of 28.5% YoY and EBITDA margin of 56.9% reinforce Airtel’s position as a leader in the telecom sector, especially in contrast to typically lower-margin players or operators undergoing restructuring.
Gopal Vittal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, noted that the company delivered consistent growth across its core businesses. He highlighted, “We delivered another quarter of consistent growth, with consolidated revenues at 49,463 crores growing 3.3% on a sequential basis. Our India revenue, including Passive Infrastructure Services, increased by 2.3% sequentially. Africa reported solid performance with 6.7% growth in constant currency.”
